Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device (computer, tablet, or mobile) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, provide a better user experience, and supply information to site operators. Cookies can be "session" cookies (which expire when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (which remain on your device until they expire or you delete them).
Petrolmate uses essential, functional, analytics, and security cookies. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies.

Petrolmate does not currently set first-party functional cookies. Your preferences (theme, location) are stored using browser local storage instead of cookies. See Section 6 below for details.

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites you visit indicating that you do not wish to be tracked. There is currently no universally accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Petrolmate does not currently respond to DNT signals. However, our analytics providers (Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) do not currently respond to DNT signals. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on. We do not use any advertising or retargeting cookies regardless of DNT settings.
In addition to cookies, Petrolmate uses browser local storage to store certain preferences and UI state information. Local storage data is stored on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. This includes:
